Sophia made popovers for us this morning! She is now obsessed with baking. Hopefully I will have many more items to post.

I love my Thursdays

I love my Thursdays. I can take Sophia to school and then do whatever Thalia feels like doing that day, which usually involves hopping on a bus. Today for lunch we had a delicious fried chicken sandwhich from Gregoire.

Both girls love love love their ballet costumes and their ballet class and everything dance.

Lucca and Lucy

Today we went to the birthday party of Sophia's classmate, Talia, not pictured here. At this party we saw Lucy, pictured in photo #2, who was one of the original baby bears from San Francisco. Lucy and Sophia were in music class together when they were only 8 months old! Zachary and Evelyn were part of that same class. I hadn't seen Lucy or her parents in a long time. Lucy has a little sister, Paige, who is about Thalia's age.  Photo # 1 shows Sophia's new friend from school: Lucca!

Pumpkin patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch in Clayton where we took a train ride and let the girls play in  maze of straw.

C is for Cappuccino

Sophia has homework now that she is in kindergarden and I was so proud of her when she drew a picture of a capuccino :*)
And the last photo shows the outfit she selected all by herself for school. She calls it her jungle zebra outfit.

Fall is here

Fall is here as you can see from the leaves. In the first two photos you can see Sophia doing an art project outside in the front yard. It has actually been hot that day and we set up a lemonade stand. As soon as I came out of the house with a pitcher of lemonade it was suddenly cold! Sophia decided to stay outside and do some art.

In the last photo shows the girls playing with their new umbrellas on the first rainy day of the season. It had stopped drizzling by the time we got home from school. It was also picture day at school. Sophia selected her outfit. She is wearing a gold necklace to go with her gold jellies.

This morning we had pancakes at the fire station. Then we were off to ballet!

Sophia participated in a t-shirt decorating contest for the Silly Olympics at her school. The bottom photo shows a gingerbread graph on display in the hallway outside of Sophia's classroom. "Gingerbread Girl" was the most popular story. Sophia decorated her own gingerbread on the bottom row. Can you find it?

Fairyland with Thalia

Yesterday I had such a fun time with Thalia at Fairyland. She confronted her fear of the carousel and ended up going on 7 times! She also loved the train. I feel so lucky to have time to play with her.
