Sophia was playing with her friends, Ella, Leila, Eva, and Jasper today when I picked her up at Ducks Nest.

Here you see Sophia and Thalia each trying to look like "a bad guy". We were taking a walk from preschool over to eat tacos at Picante for dinner.

Rainy Day

Today was my day home with the girls and we took a walk in the rain. The girls led the way and we were not in a hurry. Sophia found a ladybug and collected leaves and flowers and rocks to put in the ladybug jar. Here you can see where we stopped to admire hundreds of pink blossoms that had fallen from a tree.
Later today we played dress-up, played with face paint, and danced to the nutcracker and watched "The Wizard of Oz". I love Thursdays. At some point Sophia told me that she needed to do some work at her "work table" in the back of the kitchen. I asked her what she was working on and she told me she was building a solar system.

4th Street with Sophia

Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend a few minutes with Sophia on 4th Street in the middle of the afternoon while she normally would be in preschool. She had her first kindergarden interview, which lasted about 1.5 hours. I was not in the room with her and I was so proud of how brave she was - easily mingling with 7 other kids and 2 teachers. I let her pick out a chocolate covered strawberry before the interiew. :*

This was taken in front of our house. I have given up on trying to photograph Sophia smiling at me. She is still beautiful looking down.

I love instagram. It offers fun, free filters for me to add to any photos that I take with my iphone. These were taken today.

Here you can see how regally Thalia caries herself. A few times she told me : "Look Mommy, I am beautiful!"

Dressing up for Oscar's party

Today Sophia's friend, Oscar, had his 5th birthday party with the theme of pirates and princesses. Our girls loved getting dressed up and Sophia had her face painted.
