New SFJAZZ Center under construction
Here is what $60 million dollars can buy you. The new SFJAZZ center is being built right now on the corner of Fell and Franklin. The plan is for staff to move in December and there will be 10 days of Grand Opening festivities in January.
End of the day at Ducks Nest
Here I caught Thalia just as she noticed me walking in through the front gate. She still gives me the best greeting. She runs up to me screaming "mommy, mommy, mommy" and it makes me so happy.
Thalia and Olga
This photo was actually taken a few weeks ago in the morning at drop off in Sophia's classroom. Thalia gave Sophia's teacher, Olga a big hug. You will see Olga is holding a white dove, one of about 6 that live at Ducks Nest.

Future trombone player?
Sophia enjoyed playing the trombone yesterday at the Stanford Jazz instrument petting zoo. She actually preferred the trumpet.
Like Mother like daughter?
I love this photo. Its just juice but they are so excited to be carrying coffee cups! Here we are on the Stanford Campus after a Stanford Jazz concert yesterday.
Twins?
We get this question so many times every single day: "Are they twins?" that I decided to dress them up the same just for the fun of it today.
Here we were at Lake Temescal for a birthday party. Can you tell them apart?

Anita's Book Signing
Today our friend, Anita Amirrezvani, gave a fascinating talk about her new book: Equal of the Sun. It just came out and I am looking forward to reading it. Her first book: "Blood of Flowers" came out right as Sophia's was born, five years ago already.
